Get rid of that tiny screwdriver and those tiny screw!, Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have several old laptop hard drives kicking around and I wanted wipe them and convert them to regular storage drives. This is a great solution for me! I had an external drive enclosure that worked OK, but it was only USB 2.0 and, worse, it required me unscrew 4 screws to remove a drive and screw them back in to put a drive back in. This meant I had to keep track of the little screwdriver and the little screws that I had for this purpose. The Oittm enclosure is so much simpler! it's as easy as changing the batteries in your remote control! Just slide the plastic cover off, pop out the drive, and slide a different one in! Another great thing: This drive enclosure is made from soft-touch plastic which makes it less slippery than the metal enclosure it's replacing. I have had no issues getting my computer to recognize the drives I've tried with this on Windows 10 (however, I don't have USB 3.0, so I can't speak to the speeds and functionality for this). Oittm was kind enough to provide me with a discount on this item so that I could try it out and provide an informed review.
