There is a lot to take in with this bag. First and foremost: its convertible nature. Clip on the shoulder strap and it's a decently equipped duffel bag. Unzip the zipper that goes around the entire back and it rolls up to reveal fully-functional pair of backpack shoulder straps! The flap that covers them rolls up and stays on top of the pack giving it a unique, vintage look.

Despite the vintage look, there are several features commonly found on modern luggage. The bag has not one, but three strong plastic handles, making it easy to handle no matter how it's oriented. Also, there are two sets of compression straps, each with solid plastic clips on both sides. Finally, when wearing this pack in backpack mode, there are mesh water bottle pockets on BOTH sides!

The main compartment accessed by a zipper on the side (or the top if you're carrying it like a briefcase). It is large enough for a few days' clothes and a pair of shoes. On the back, there is an organizational pocket which can be totally unzipped. An additional smaller zipper accesses a long, shallow compartment.

With so many features, it's hard to benefice that this pack still pulls off the vintage, foreign legion rucksack look, but it does.

I've tried many varieties of Bluetooth headphones, but the Flymemo Freesolo headset stands apart from the competition in a few ways. First of all, the quality of the connection is really good. I had no trouble pairing them with my Samsung Galaxy S6. After a few days of listening to podcasts and music at work, I've never had so much as a stutter in the playback and the connection has never dropped out unexpectedly. Second, the design is really good. You can't go wrong with black headphones and the style of the earpiece was surprisingly good. I was a little reluctant about the ear hooks that this model employs, but once I had them adjusted correctly they were perfectly comfortable and you couldn't even see the hooks. Meanwhile, they feel super secure in my ears and I don't have to rely on the buds to hold themselves in. All of this together means this is my new favorite headset. Flymemo was kind enough to send me a test unit so that I could try it out and provide an informed review.

Not only is the Urbane O2 thermos very well designed, but it's also very functional. It's perfect for making a coffee to go. You can put it in your backpack and know it will still be hot when you get to the office.

The design is sleek, modern and minimalistic. The entire thing is solid matte white, broken only by a thin stainless steel ring on the cap and a small "URBANE - Ö2" label near the bottom. It also comes in a nice cylindrical package making it a great gift option.

Functionally, it does its most important job perfectly: it keeps hot beverages hot and cold beverages cold for a really long time. Also it keeps liquids in without leaking. I was able to put coffee in it and shake it vigorously without any leaking. On top of the plain threaded aluminum top, there is a plastic sipping spout that will also prevent ice from coming out when tipped up. The cap screws on tight and has a double seal: a plug that goes inside the opening and a threaded outer seal.

Ah, the age of inexpensive, effective LED lighting is wonderful! This battery powered motion activated LED light is a perfect solution for lighting a remote area when it's not possible or worth actually wiring a light up. The simple base mounts very easily using the included hardware, but I found command strips to work fine. It takes a few AA batteries, but since they are powering LEDs, they should last a good long time before you need to replace them. Also, when you do need to replace them, it will be very simple because you can just take the actual light part out of the mount and pop it back in again when you're done. I do wish the fit in the mount were a little more secure. It always feels like it's not in there quite right when i put it in. The motion detector works well enough, though the range and time limit is not adjustable like it is on more expensive models. First of all, let me say that this hair dryer holder works great as a hair dryer holder: it mounts anywhere and has an extender arm that allows nearly any hair dryer to be suspended in a direction that allows hands free use. However, I actually got this for something other than holding a hair dryer. My problem is my wife was always leaving her hair straightener out so that it could cool down, but it wouldn't get put away until the end of the day when it was time for my 2-year old to take a tub. He always tries to grab the cord and it usually fell on him. Not great when the straightener is not hot, but potentially very dangerous when it is hot. So I mounted this hair dryer holder to give my wife a place to stow her hot iron after she's done that keeps both the hair straightener and the cord out safely of reach from my 2 year old. So even though I'm using it slightly differently than it's intended, I still give it 5 stars. It's a great way to keep bulky, potentially hazardous bathroom electronics out of reach of toddlers and it works and looks great.

This is exactly what I had hoped it would be: a small case perfect for pens, pencils, usb drives, a charging cable and all the other little things I don't want to get lost in my bag. Currently I have a couple pens, a sharpie marker, some bluetooth headphones, an extra cable for charging or syncing my phone, and a few USB drives. However, it could hold much more if I really wanted to stuff it full. Unlike my previous pencil case, it's very easy to compact this one to only take up the space needed by the things inside instead of being a fixed size that uses as much room when it's empty as when it's full. The bright yellow color makes it very easy to spot in my black backpack, and it just looks cool, even if it does look like a banana. The little llama silhouette is a nice touch too. The zipper is actually brown which goes very well with the yellow and orange colors of the bag and it's tipped with a rubber tab which is super easy to grab and use. The shape of the pencil bag is triangular and the zipper zips down into the middle of the sides so you can open it all the way and actually fit longer items in it. This case works great for me, a mid-30's commuter, but it's also very practical for tons of situations: kids in school, a home office, the glove box of your car, etc.

Fun item to play detective., April 20, 2016

This is a fun item for playing detective with your own filthy house! It is very useful when you're trying to clean up spills too, because sometimes it will make a substance stand out (other times, not so much). I really got this for my son to play with and make his own light shows, so I'm not particularly concerned with how well it actually works. I am also planning on using it on Halloween to add a fun element to the whole "bring a flashlight" thing. The build quality is very good and the brightness is adequate.

The first thing I noticed about the Aduro AMPLIFY Sport SBN40 Wireless Stereo Bluetooth Headset was that it plays music LOUD! You can really crank them up. I compared them to other pairs and they are definitely stronger. I have used them for a few days at the office, and they have performed very well. The only time they have dropped a connection is when I stop using them for a while and take my phone away. Otherwise, I've been impressed with the quality of the connection. The battery life is good too, I can listen for about four hours continuously before I start getting warning about the battery. The style of earphones is also very good. They have a slim bud instead of bulky protrusions you have to have sticking out of your ears. I found the default, medium sized earbuds to be a little painful because they were too big, but switching to the included smaller size corrected the issue and now they're very comfortable without feeling too loose. The fob that houses the controls, the battery, the power adapter and the antenna is a good size and the buttons are easy to find without looking. There is also a tiny LED that informs you of the status of the connection or charge. All told, these are a great wireless solution for the price and after comparing them to other similar models, I definitely recommended them.

The "pink potty" my son loves to use!, April 18, 2016

My two year old loves to use this potty and it works very well. He has a standard little potty next to the toilet, but we now keep it in the bathroom and give him the option to use the little potty or the big potty, and he will often choose the big potty and use this seat. It has not been an issue to clean and he has never had any trouble with getting everything pointing in the right direction thanks to the well designed shield on the front. The plastic is very smooth making it easy to wipe anything off it.

The other huge advantage to this item is its portability! This is the easiest way to bring a potty with us when we go places because it is easily stowed in a bag or in the car and can be used with almost any toilet. Plus it gives him a sense of comfort by having the same thing everywhere we go. The only kind of bummer was that the color is random. I have a boy, so obviously, I got the pink one. It's totally fine though, he likes it and gets excited to use the "pink potty".

If your kids are like mine, you have a growing collection of wooden train track parts, and the number of possible configuration is quickly approaching infinity. But there are only so many ways you can rig together bridges and tunnels before you start running into logistical issues in your train universe. These turn table pieces are remarkably useful for getting complicated tracks put together. They allow up to 8 tracks to intersect, which is really incredible. Additionally, instead of simply allowing trains to pass through, they can be re-directed to any direction, and even sent back the way they came! This gives an easy way to make a "T" stop or cross-track, but I actually like using these as the center for my build, and then have all kinds of features interconnected through this.

I had a couple of things that kept me from giving this 5 stars: First of all, the turn tables themselves were very hard to turn at first. My two year old couldn't do it himself, and I could only do it by putting a train in it and cranking it like a screwdriver. Second, one of the bases cracked and split in two within a week of use by my two year old. I didn't see how it happened, so it may have been abused, but there's only so much force my two year old could have applied. I suspect the wood was cracked from the beginning and my kid just found the fault line and easily broke it.

This is my new favorite flash drive for everyday use. It's not the fastest or the largest drive available, but because it's got both USB and micro-USB, it makes the fairly convoluted task of transferring files between Android and Windows devices dead-simple. Not only that, but it's the fastest way to transfer large files from one android to another. I have used a variety of apps to do this wirelessly, but there's always the possibility that the transfer will time out or one of your devices isn't set up correctly. The other alternative is to use a USB cable to directly transfer files, but sometimes you're not in close proximity to one or the other device. Sometimes you also just need to dump things off your phone while you're out and about to make room for more videos or pictures. This makes that process very simple.

It's incredible what a little cardboard and a couple lenses can do! Google's Cardboard app is a great place to start with this set and everything works great. I tested with my Galaxy S6 and one thing I would advise is to turn off these backlight on the S6 for a better experience. This also users the Cardboard 2.0 format, so it's a little nicer than a lot of the competition. The black cardboard adds a premium feel to the standard cardboard model and makes it feel a little more at home in your tech collection. The magnetic slider button works perfectly for selecting things, even though I have no idea how it works. It just does.

This makes a really good gift. The package seems impossibly small, so nobody will guess what it is (it comes in a square flat package). But for any kid with a phone or an adult who likes novelty items, this brings a lot of fun. The instructions are fairly clear and putting this unit together was a fairly easy process.
