Bing Rewards Part II: How to Spend Those Credits!

Welcome to Part II of my guide to Bing Rewards! If you haven't read Part I yet, you might want to check that out before reading this post.

Before I tell you the best way to spend your hard-earned credits, let's talk about which rewards you most definitely DON'T want (spoiler: it's almost all of them):

  • Any of the offers that contain the word "sweepstakes". These are a waste of your credits because whatever the odds are, you probably won't win anything.
  • Any offers are called "eCoupons". These are junk too. I tried one for Pro Flowers once, and it was useless. eCoupons generally can't be combined with any other offers, and usually there are plenty of better offers to be found at sites like RetailMeNot.com.
  • Months of Microsoft services or credits to Microsoft digital stores. You would think that since Bing is a Microsoft website, that they would offer attractive deals for their other services since it's win-win for Microsoft: they get customers to use their other services and keep using Bing. However, this is not the case. For example: a month of X-Box Live Gold costs 679 credits, but for 475 credits you can redeem a $5 Amazon gift card, which also happens to be the price of a one-month X-Box Live Gold Membership card on Amazon. Don't be fooled by these offers.
  • Obviously, while donating to charity is very... charitable, you will not earn any money redeeming charitable donations on Bing Rewards, which is the purpose of this post.
So which offers should you consider? If you read my previous post, you'll know that ultimately, Amazon gift cards are way to go. Bing Rewards offers Amazon gift cards in both $3 and $5 denominations, so these must be the best use of your credits, right? WRONG! There is more than one way to skin a dead cat. And Amazon gift cards can be had for fewer credits than advertised.

There are actually five rewards that can get you Amazon gift cards. The straight-up $3 and $5 Amazon Gift Card rewards, $3 and $5 Tango Card rewards and 500 Swag Bucks. The Amazon rewards are the simplest, but most expensive way to go. Redeem>get a code in your email for the cash.

Tango Cards are the second easiest, but also the second most expensive. Redeem your Bing credits for a Tango Card, and on Tango Card's website, you can then cash them out for Amazon gift cards. Notice the $3 and $5 Tango Cards are both slightly cheaper than their Amazon counterparts.

RewardCreditsCredits for $1 Amazon
$3 Amazon Card330110
$5 Amazon Card47595
$3 Tango Card320107
$5 Tango Card47094
500 Swag Bucks47585.5

The only option left is 500 Swag Bucks. Swag Bucks is another rewards site where credits can be exchanged for Amazon Gift Cards and it will be the subject of at least a few future posts here. So how are 500 Swag Bucks for 475 Bing Rewards credits better than a $5 Tango Card for 470? Well Swag Bucks offers $5 Amazon cards for only 450 Swag Bucks! So each time you redeem Bing Rewards for Swag Bucks, you get a "profit" of 50 Swag Bucks, which translates into your 10th gift card being free!

Additionally, Once you get into Swag Bucks, you'll see that there are all sorts of ways to earn those, which I'll tell you about in another post.

So hopefully, at this point, you can see how I've managed to cash in Bing Rewards points for over $200 in Amazon cash. I hope these posts have helped you figure out the best way to use the program!

Bing Rewards Part I: An easy, dependable way to start earning cash online.

Bing Rewards is a great way to get started with earning extra cash online. I've earned over $200 in rewards personally through this program. This post will show you how to get started and share some tips to maximize the value of the program.

Once you've signed up, you earn points which can be applied to various gift cards, coupons and sweepstakes entries. They've got some great gift card options including Amazon.com, various restaurants and, of course, several Microsoft services. I'll tell you which option will be the most efficient later in this post.

Points are earned primarily by simply searching using Bing. However, there are usually one or two bonus points that can be earned every day by completing random Bing things in the Notification Center.

Additionally, new Bing Rewards members will have some easy points available to them in the Tours section of the rewards page.

Once you get signed up and you've completed all the Tours, you just need to come back each day and complete the task as well as perform enough searches to max out your points for the day. Typically, you'll earn 15 points a day from searches and at least one for the daily task (1 point for every 2 Bing searches). Often there are special promotions as well.

What should you search for? Anything you want! I like to search for today's date in every year going back in history until I get all my points for the day. If you use Bing for your default search engine, and do a lot of searches every day, you can fulfill your search quota just by signing in!

Before you cash them out any credits, you'll want to get your status to GOLD. You can check your status as well as the requirements on the Status page.

This will get you a 10% discount when redeeming credits for rewards. It takes a little time but it's totally worth it, since you'll eventually be saving time by earning the rewards you want days faster.

Speaking of the rewards you want, I'm going to tell you all about which rewards you should want in Part Two of my Bing Rewards guide, so check it out!

One way to accomplish this is to sign up for instaGC. There you will get credit for taking surveys, accomplishing various tasks online, and posting referral links like this: how do i get amazon gift card

Amazon gift cards are a great goal, since most sites for earning gift cards will offer Amazon as an option, and you can buy pretty much anything you want on Amazon.com.

Disclaimer: I will be posting "referral links" in my posts to earn credit when people sign up for things that they've discovered through this site. But you're going to be doing the same thing too!
