This is a fantastic gadget for amateur photographers. If you still have a camera bag that you take with you, this needs to be in it. I got it to help me with still photography around the house. The results are a huge step up from shooting by hand since exposures are often too long to get crisp shots with indoor light and point and shoot cameras. The unit includes a detachable screw for attaching to your device. My only complaint is that the top ball is looser than I would like it to be, so heavier cameras may shift under their own weight. I received a discount on this item so that I could try it out and provide an informed review.
