This is perfect for the living room. At the end of the day when you sit down to veg out and watch some TV, it's nice to have a cable that can reach your favorite spot on the couch while leaving some slack to actually use your phone while it charges. Standard cables all seem to give just enough distance to get to the table where you have to leave your phone to charge.
This is also a high quality USB cable, it's thick enough that it won't be chewed apart by a cat and the connectors are slim, but robust so they won't fall apart but will fit into, for example, cell phone cases that might restrict bulkier plugs. I was able to test with my Galaxy S6 charger and confirmed that it has no issues with Fast Charging (and presumably Qualcom's QuickCharge 2.0).
One other nice feature is the way the cable is packaged: it's coiled in a loose ring instead of folded in such a way that leaves a dozen kinks to be worked out over the months after being unpacked. This is a great touch by iXCC.
