If you need a new HDMI cable, there is really very little you need to consider besides price. However one thing you should think about is length: if your new cable is too short, you're going to have a really hard time getting that HD signal to your TV or receiver. This is why I highly recommend you check out the 10 foot (!!) HDMI cable by Bargains Depot. With 10 feet of cable, the possibilities for your entertainment center become much broader: You can have your TV mounted in a more comfortable location or have things like computers tucked away while still providing an output to the TV. Using a long HDMI cable and a laptop is a dead simple way to do a slideshow on your TV of photos, or play content from your computer. This is a lot easier if your HDMI cable is longer than the end of the shelf of your entertainment center. The distinctive blue ends will also help you figure out what the other terminal is plugged into, instead of guessing which black cord goes to the one you just plugged into your TV. Bargains Depot was kind enough to provide a discount on this cable so that I could try it out and provide an informed review.
