Corn on the cob is a summer staple for sure, but for me an my family, gnawing the kernels off the cob is not how we roll. We prefer cutting the corn from the cob with a knife first. Enter the Drhob Corn Threshing tool. This product looks like a perfect match for my family and it should make the whole ordeal of eating corn on the cob better and easier. However, in practice, this product did not live up to our expectations. First, it is hard to use. It is not easy to press down on and collect the kernels. Second, it's more messy than using a knife and leaves you with a difficult dish to clean after each use. Third, it doesn't get as close to the cob as a knife. So, all told, the best use for this item is as a novelty gift, and it will get some laughs and people will think it's great, but don't expect them to actually use it in everyday life. Dhrob was kind enough to provide me with a discount so that I could try this corn thresher out and provide an informed review.
